A little piece of the puzzle!

Hello

My name is Cheryl Thomas. I currently reside in Nightmute. My husband and I have been living in rural Alaska for the past seven years. I have two wonderful little boys (1-4yrs.) who keep me busy most of the time. (HA-HA!) I love spending time with my friends and family doing the usual things us Alaskans know best, Camping and Fishing!

I'm currently a senior at UAF in Elementary Ed. I am also concurrently seeking my endorsement in Special Education at UAS. So for the most part I AM BUSY! I love learning new things. I feel this keeps me young. When I finish my education I will continue on to get my Masters in Special Education.

I enjoy doing anything outdoors from berry picking to snowboarding. The fresh air rejuvenates me and keeps me on step. I thank God everyday for the freedom that has been given to me. As I continue on the path of completing my puzzle I hope I instill great things on the people around me!

Thanks for the nice reminder that life in Alaska is special in so many ways. We have so many opportunities here that most people can only imagine. I know that I am grateful for being able to raise my children here.

I'm looking forward to learning more about Nightmute over he course of the semester.

Have you lived here all of your life or did you just move here 7 years ago? You have certainly picked a busy time in your life to get your education. You will be just about ready to teach when your youngest starts school! Congratulations.

Wow, I love it! What a nice post. We own a dog kennel (19) and run dogs during the winter and all of our grown children have participated in local dograces one time or another. You really cracked me up about "..have to talk to my computer" if it doesn't work. That was funny.
